Camps fill up fast, but we have room for more female campers! Essays accepted starting Jan. 1st for summer camps.
While extremely unlikely, we reserve the right to change the camp dates as deemed necessary.
A beginner camper is defined as a 12 or 13 year old with little or no previous experience or firearm safety certificate. However, a 12-year with more than average experience may still be included in the beginner group because of their age.
For shooting activities, we divide the campers into small groups based on their individual experience levels and continue to assess individual skills and regroup throughout the week, as needed.
An advanced camper is defined as someone 13 years of age or older with experience ranging from no or minimal experience to very experienced and/or a previous camper.

Except for our third camp (boys and girls) which we have more staff on-hand, we generally limit our camps to around 12 kids. We have found that limiting the number of campers allows for better programming, youth interactions and overall experiences.
Due to our camps increased popularity, we’ve hit our maximum number of campers early each spring, and in recent years, added waiting lists for hopeful campers-to-be.
With that said, the following are a few things to keep in mind when determining a camp date:
The Youth Hunting Club of Minnesota is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization and not part of the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club. The Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club does not fund or operate this program. The affiliation and partnership with the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club is because the Youth Hunting Club of Minnesota’s Executive Director is also one of the owners of the Minnesota Horse and Hunt Club.
